Texas Bass Couples, West Region on Hubbard Creek Reservoir began this event with 28 couples competing for the #1 position. The tournament began with a boat call at 6:45 & as their numbers were called, the anxious couples sped out to their most promising fishing hole to try to land the winning stringer. It was cold, windy, & raining most of the day, but did not stop the TBC. Weigh in at 3 to 3:30pm brought 67 bass to the scales with a total weight of 184.80 lbs with an average of 2.75lbs. It was a good day, even if the weather did not cooperate.

Special thanks to Sandy Creek Marina for allowing us to have our weigh in at their Marina.

Due to problems with obtaining the insurance policy to cover the Exact Weight Bass Program O'Briant Construction will give added monies to the payback at the 2010 TBC Championship.

The Texas Bass Couples has chosen the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center of Brown County as our 2010 Supporting Agency

Look for something new at the Championship

Hello to everyone from Bobby and Jeanne. The old year has passed into history and it was a great one! The new year brings new and more exciting adventures for the TEXAS BASS COUPLES with some new sponsors along with our tried and proven sponsors of the past like Sebile’s baits that are always on the cutting edge of new technology. I can hardly wait to try some of the new baits that are coming out. This year brings anxious times like when you were young and Christmas just couldn’t get there fast enough. The first day you get on the water and you long to catch fish, but it is tough because the water is not as warm as you would like. Sometimes this time of year the first bite you get is FROSTBITE!! Always remember to dress according to the current weather conditions. You can always remove layers, but it is impossible to add layers if you did not bring them.

Tommy and Pam have again worked hard to introduce the couples to new sponsors and to a great format of fishing for the 2010 year. TEXAS BASS COUPLES tournaments are truly family sporting events, and from me and Jeanne we hope all our friends have had a great start to this new year!! We are looking forward to seeing everyone!! The competition between the couples and usually the competition in my boat between “the couple” promises to be without a doubt, a lot of FUN!!

We hope this new year brings a lot of new “stories” about the “one that got away” along with loads of laughs and great fellowship. See you at the lake, Bobbin’ with Bobby.
